The Duggars are coming back to TLC.
In December, the network will air Counting On, which will follow Jill Dillard and Jessa Seewald as they move forward following the scandal that rocked their family last spring when it was revealed that eldest brother, Josh Duggar, had molested them — and three other underage girls — when he was a teen.
In a sneak peek at the series, Jessa says she was experiencing the “most joyful time of [her] life” when the scandal broke, and Jill admits that the family “cried a lot of tears — we still do.”
Counting On marks Jill and Jessa’s return to reality television following the cancellation of 19 Kids and Counting in July.
“We know that our audience is really excited about what’s been going on with Jill and Jessa as they move into young adulthood,” said TLC executive vice president and general manager Nancy Daniels when the specials were announced back in September. “And now they’re both at the precipice of big changes. With what was happening in their lives in the next few months, it felt like now is the time [for the specials], and we got going pretty quickly.”
Following Counting On, at least two more specials focused on Jill and Jessa may come in 2016.
