ABC has given freshman comedy Dr. Ken a full season order, EW has learned.

The series, which stars Community’s Ken Jeong as a frustrated HMO doctor juggling medicine, marriage and parenting, debuted Oct. 2 to 6.7 million viewers with a 1.5 rating in the 18-49 demo, which improved on the short-lived Cristela’s launch in the same time slot last year. Since its premiere— which EW gave a D+—The show has since been averaging 6.6 million viewers and a 1.5.

Dr. Ken is the third new show to nab a full-season order after ABC ordered more Quantico and NBC picked up Blindspot. Unlike Quantico, which only received an additional six episodes, Dr. Ken was given the full back nine order.

Dr. Ken airs Fridays at 8:30 p.m. ET on ABC.
