The dream of the ’90s is alive in covers of “Redemption Song.”
A few weeks after Pearl Jam lead singer Eddie Vedder covered Bob Marley’s powerful track with help from Beyoncé, Soundgarden frontman Chris Cornell performed “Redemption Song” with his 11-year-old daugther, Toni.
According to reports from the show, which took place on Monday at New York’s Beacon Theatre, Cornell told the crowd that Toni had previously asked him to watch her sing in front of the entire school during an assembly. “I was more nervous that day, but she sang it beautifully,” he said.
