You’re probably aware of the Black List, which annually rounds up the best-regarded but unproduced new scripts circulating in Hollywood. But did you know there is a horror- and thriller-focused equivalent called the Blood List?
The Blood List is overseen by producer and talent manager Kailey Marsh and this year’s collection of favored “dark-genre” scripts, which was voted upon by dozens of executives, was announced today. The list features screenplays by David Chirchirillo (who cowrote the recent, Pat Healy-starring Cheap Thrills), Brian Duffield (Insurgent), and Tales of Halloween codirector Paul Solet.
Previous lists collectively showcased a significant number of scripts which have since made it to the big screen, including Black Swan, Buried, Chronicle, and The Boy Next Door. You can learn more about this year’s list at the official Blood List website.
