After 10 years of catchy pop-punk jams, Cobra Starship officially announced Tuesday that they have broken up. It appears that their August single with Icona Pop, “Never Been In Love,” may be the last new music from the band. In a statement, frontman Gabe Saporta announced that he is leaving music for the business side of things.

“The truth is that there is nothing that I am more passionate about than music. And although the time has come for me to pass the baton, nothing would be as rewarding for me as the opportunity to share my wisdom and experiences with the next generation of artists,” Saporta said in a lengthy Facebook post. “And so, me and my boy Mike Carden are starting a company to do just that: Get at us. We’ll see you in 2016.”

Saporta also spoke to Billboard about whether fans can expect anything else from Cobra Starship.

“I’m not opposed to doing farewell shows, but for me right now, we don’t want to release anything that we just had, and have it be half-assed,” Saporta said. “For me it’s like, do it one hundred percent, or don’t do it.”
