The best live music show on TV returns this weekend when Guitar Center Sessions kicks off its 11th season with a visit from legendary singer-songwriter James Taylor.

This will be a milestone season for Guitar Center Sessions, which will celebrate its 100th episode in January. The new season includes performances from a multitude of artists across several different genres, including Jason DeRulo, Chicago, Metric, Sean Kingston, Merle Haggard, and Taylor.

Earlier this year, Taylor returned with his first album of new material in 13 years with Before This World, a lovely and stirring collection of folk rock tunes that highlight his uncanny knack for melody. It debuted at the top of the Billboard 200, making it Taylor’s first-ever chart-topping album in his 45-year career.

One of the key tracks from Before This World is “Today Today Today,” a beautiful string-kissed lilt that is equal parts forward-thinking and nostalgic. Check out the exclusive premiere of Taylor’s performance of “Today Today Today” on this week’s episode of Guitar Center Sessions.

The James Taylor episode of Guitar Center Sessions (which also features performances of Taylor classics like “Fire and Rain” and “Carolina In My Mind”) airs Friday, Nov. 13, at 9 PM ET on the Audience Network on DirecTV and AT&T U-Verse.
