Quantic Dream’s Beyond: Two Souls will find its way to the PlayStation 4 sooner than expected, as Sony has announced a release date for the Ellen Page-starring vehicle. And it’s coming soon.
As announced on the PlayStation Blog, Beyond will be coming to the PlayStation 4 on Nov. 24. The game originally released for the PlayStation 3 in 2013. EW gave the game a B at the time, writing that “while the story doesn’t have quite the emotional impact that Cage so desperately wants to achieve, Page’s performance elevates the material considerably.” The game stars Page as Jodie Holmes, a young woman with supernatural abilities thanks to her link with an invisibile force. Included in her story is Dr. Hawkins, played by Willem Dafoe.
The PlayStation 4 release’s major enhancements include improved visuals, downloadable content packaged in that was released separately for the PS3 version, and the ability to play the game in chronological order, as the title hops around in time while telling the story of Page’s Jodie.
Beyond will cost $29.99 and debut exclusively on the PlayStation Network store for the PS4, with Quantic Dream’s other PS3 game, Heavy Rain, coming on March 1, 2016. Those who purchase Beyond will be able to buy Heavy Rain at a discounted price when it arrives. Watch a trailer for the new version below, and for more on the game, read EW’s original review.
