David Bowie's 'Blackstar' video features space, the occult, and scarecrows

The first song from David Bowie’s 25th album makes one thing clear: Bowie is still Bowie. “Blackstar,” the title song off Bowie’s January record, spans nearly 10 minutes and is one part relentless rumbling and one part euphonic lament.

“Blackstar,” the video, teased Friday, is a different matter. It starts on a moon and occasionally shows a shaking Bowie with a cloth covering his eyes. Then, it hits a more Earth-like setting with Bowie carrying a holy black-star embossed text. Suddenly, there are human scarecrows, shaman-like people, and a gem-encrusted skull.
