Greg Grunberg to play the 'too-cool' cousin on Life in Pieces

Greg Grunberg has played several well-mannered characters in the past, but on CBS’ new comedy Life in Pieces, he’s taking a less wholesome turn.

The TV veteran will guest star on an upcoming episode as Mikey, the nephew of Joan (Dianne Wiest) and a former hero to Greg (Colin Hanks) and Matt (Thomas Sadoski). Mikey was always “too cool” and ultimately a poor role model, and Joan is worried his presence will drag the family into his craziness.

Since his initial Heroes turn nearly a decade ago, Grunberg has been busy. He’s in the revival event series Heroes Reborn and has recurred on Masters of Sex and Criminal Minds. He’ll double up in the sci-fi movie space, appearing in Star Wars: The Force Awakens this Christmas and next year’s Star Trek Beyond.
