The Force has awakened…in the crew of the USS Dwight D. Eisenhower. This Navy ship served as a backdrop when its crew recreated the first trailer for J.J. Abrams’ upcoming Star Wars film. Fan-made fare is great, but this one has the closest thing to a real X-Wing.

Dubbed Sea Wars: The IKE Awakens, the video replaces the Jakku desert with open water, BB-8 with a janitor’s wavebrake, Poe Dameron’s X-Wing and the Millennium Falcon with a Navy jet, and Rey’s speeder with a trolley. All of this is set to the music and sounds from the film’s trailer, while utilizing some computer-generated effects for Kylo Ren’s cross-guard saber and TIE fighters.

While these fan affairs are helping to hold us over until the film’s release, let’s keep things in perspective. We have less than a month before we see the “real” thing when Star Wars: The Force Awakens debuts on Dec. 18.
