Survivor Talk: Joe on what you didn't see in his scary challenge collapse

(Monty Brinton/CBS )

He passed out and then was voted out — all in the same day. No doubt Joe Anglim (a.k.a. Joey Amazing) had a tough go of it at the end of Survivor: Cambodia—Second Chance, but at least he is still around to tell the tale. And tell it he shall on the brand-new episode of Survivor Talk!

Joe joins special guest host Francesca Hogi and yours truly, taking us through that scary scene when he collapsed at the challenge. He also reveals a whole lot that we didn’t see. Like what? Like the fact that he went into the challenge massively dehydrated due to a fever that had left him sick and shivering. And that just moments before Joe’s collapse he had actually requested either going to one hand or adding another section to the pole to hasten the outcome of the challenge because he could feel his body failing.

We get all that scoop and more, including Joe’s feelings on the emotional visit from his father and his ideal final three, and you can watch it all right here and right now for yourself by clicking on the video at the top of the post. [NOTE: We had some technical difficulties this week and lost our Skype recording of Joe so you’ll have to settle for a smaller shot of him on my laptop while Francesca and I nod approvingly along the way. I realize I’m not as pretty as Joe, so sorry for that.]
