Welcome to the Spoiler Room, a safe place for spoiler addicts to come on a weekly basis to learn what’s coming next on their favorite shows and, hopefully, get a few of their own questions answered. If you want scoop on a specific show, send your questions to firstname.lastname@example.org.
Seriously, what’s the deal with Hank Henshaw on Supergirl? — Anne
That’s what Alex will aim to find out when an earthquake strikes National City, putting her in close quarters with Hank. “They’re trapped in the DEO,” David Harewood tells me. “Alex is very worried that this guy is going to repeat what he did last time, which is people mysteriously die and he’s the only one left. I think she’s scared that that’s what’s going to happen to her.” In other words, you don’t want to miss Monday’s episode.
When you talked to Constance Zimmer, did you ask her about UnREAL? — Carrie
Of course I did! While the actress doesn’t know exactly what the new reality show Quinn and Rachel will be working on is, she did offer up this tease: “It will still be under the Everlasting title,” Zimmer says. “So whatever reality show that is, it just still has to adhere to Everlasting, just because we’re still new and we don’t want to completely rock the boat with people coming to us for the first time. But it’s a whole new cast of characters, which already makes it a completely different show no matter what it is.” So, maybe something like Everlasting: Extreme Makeover? “Will your plastic surgery be Everlasting?” Zimmer jokes.
Since we didn’t see Caity Lotz in the Arrow-Flash crossover, is there anything you can say about how she becomes the White Canary on Legends of Tomorrow? — Karl
You can thank Laurel for that. “Her sister helps her find the new identity,” Lotz teases, noting that the change comes with seeing a new Sara when Legends kicks off. “She’s a little more easy going, a little more lighthearted. She’s seen it all. That has brought a little bit of a lightness to her. She’s not quite as heavy as she was. She can’t really take everything so seriously anymore.”
Would love some Laurel scoop for How to Get Away with Murder. — Marie
As evidenced in the midseason finale, in which she was fully ready to go to jail, Laurel has certainly come into her own. “In that moment when she was getting asked to shoot Annalise, she had to really look at herself and see what sort of person she was,” EP Pete Nowalk says. “I love the way she reacts, and I’m very excited to show how she’s evolved from this Murder Night. She’s going to have a very big responsibility on her when we come back, and handles it in a way that’s going to surprise us.”
Do you have any scoop on Jake/Amy from Brooklyn Nine Nine? — Lauren
How about Jake and Diaz? Because that relationship takes center stage this week. When Jake and Rosa are forced to work with a pair of Swedish cops on an international diamond heist, the two will discover that maybe they aren’t as close as they thought they were. But that may change by episode’s end when Rosa reveals a rather juicy secret to her partner.
Was Ressler and Samar’s tryst on The Blacklist a one-time thing? — Templeton
It’s not quite as simple as that, according to executive producer Jon Bokenkamp. “That hasn’t quite played out yet,” he says. “That is something that’s going to linger over them and haunt them. The fallout from that will continue to ripple for a while.”
Any info on Barry in the upcoming episodes of The Flash would be great, thanks. — Shelly
Barry may be on the road to even faster super speed. “If you’re a fan of the comics, you know that a big part of the comics is Velocity 9,” EP Andrew Kreisberg teases. In the crossover, “you met Velocity 6. It’s safe to say there will be a few more iterations of that formula. How it plays out and how it works and who uses it and the effects that it has, that’s something you’ll have to watch.” Anyone else think Harry may dabble?
Blindspot? — Raleigh
Though Kate Williams is swimming with the fishes — too soon? — we haven’t seen the last of that storyline. However, don’t expect to find out who she was taking orders from on the phone. “The Russian spy ring, that story is not over, but that person is not important,” EP Martin Gero says.
Damon’s goodbye to his mother was so harsh. Anything on what’s next for him on Vampire Diaries? — June
Well, we know that his curt farewell is going to come back to bite him. Furthermore, when the show returns, we won’t only be getting a Damon Civil War flashback, but we’ll be getting a lot of Damon just in general. In what’s sure to be a special episode, the eldest Salvatore will find himself in nearly every scene (if not every scene) of the episode. So for all you Damon fans out there, you’re welcome.
The final minute of this week’s You’re the Worst killed me. Give me hope for the finale! — Drea
If you thought Gretchen would just move on after learning that Jimmy hooked up with another woman, you’ve forgotten the name of this show. Gretch will naturally scope Nina out at her bar, leading to a scene that will have you both chuckling and cringing.
Best news I’ve heard all week: No hate-watching needed. The Wiz was a truly enjoyable experience.
