The Boss is back on the road. Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band will head out on a 24-date North American tour, he revealed on Twitter Friday.
The River Tour kicks off in Pittsburgh Jan. 16 and spends two days at New York’s Madison Square Garden later that month. It concludes with two performances at Los Angeles’ Memorial Sports Arena in March. Each night of the tour will be mixed for CD release and download through Live.BruceSpringsteen.net.
Along with the tour announcement, Springsteen and the E Street Band released The Ties That Bind: The River Collection Friday, a look back at their 1980 album that includes 52 tracks on four CDs and unseen footage, photos, and memorabilia. The New Jersey native and his group will also perform on Saturday Night Live Dec. 19, when Tina Fey and Amy Poehler will host.
Tickets for The River Tour go on sale Dec. 11.
