Ang Lee’s original Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon came out 15 years ago, but time means nothing to the Reboot Machine. The martial arts classic is now the latest franchise to be revived by Netflix, with a sequel set for release early next year. Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon: Sword of Destiny picks up with Michelle Yeoh’s Yu Shien-Lien, who must come out of retirement to stop a dangerous enemy from acquiring a powerful sword. While the original film was an adaptation of the fourth book in Wang Dulu’s Crane-Iron series, the sequel tackles the plot of the fifth novel (originally titled Iron Knight, Silver Vase).

Sword of Destiny is directed by Yuen Wo-Ping, who previously worked as a fight choreographer on The Matrix and Kill Bill. As a result, the battle scenes look pretty spectacular — check out that midair swordfight while falling through a crumbling building.

Crouching Tiger, HIdden Dragon: Sword of Destiny is currently set for a Feb. 26 release on Netflix and in select IMAX theaters. Check out the trailer above, and the new poster below.
