Gone Home coming to PlayStation 4, Xbox One in 2016

2013’s Gone Home delivered one of the most unique experiences of the year, racking up strong critical acclaim and even Game of the Year wins. And finally, console owners will have a chance to dive into the tale of the Greenbriar family.

The Fullbright Company’s Steve Gaynor made the announcement about the title, revealing it will come to the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One on Jan. 12. The game will deliver the same experience as the original game along with over 90 minutes of commentary from the developers, voice actress Sarah Grayson, and Sleater-Kinney’s Corin Tucker.

Gone Home puts players into the shoes of Kaitlin Greenbriar, a 21-year-old returning to her family’s Oregon home only to find the house empty. Players will explore the Arbor Hill mansion and find out the state of the family while Kaitlin’s been gone, but to reveal anymore would take away the joy of discovery inherent to Gone Home.
