Now it’s a party.
In this exclusive behind-the-scenes look at The X-Files’ return, stars Gillian Anderson (Dana Scully) and David Duchovny (Fox Mulder), along with series creator Chris Carter and writer-executive producer Glen Morgan, talk about the experience of “putting the band back together” to bring the iconic series back to television. If you’re still pinching yourself every time a promo airs, Anderson understands.
“I can imagine what that must be like as a fan,” she says. “You see these familiar faces and the familiar crossbeams of light coming out of the darkness and hear that soundtrack.”
And like Scully standing on her feet all day to do an autopsy for Mulder, they’re doing it all for you.

“The X-Files is really back because of its fans,” says Carter.
The video also includes some never-before-seen glimpses at Duchovny’s pencil-throwing skills, Mulder taking a punch, and Scully looking concerned — along with a closer look at an incoming call from a very familiar name. Check it out above.
