Chance the Rapper made his Saturday Night Live debut last night, and after teasing new music on Twitter all week, dropping hints about his as-of-yet-unannounced third mixtape, he took to the stage to premiere his new song “Somewhere in Paradise.”

Chance opened his appearance with the trumpet-infused “Paradise,” triumphantly declaring, “Ain’t we been here before? Ain’t my principal told me I can’t rap on this show?” The Chicago rapper was joined onstage by Jeremih, who helped sing the chorus in a surprise appearance. Jeremih appears on the newly released studio version of the song with R. Kelly.

Donnie Trumpet and the Social Experiment also joined Chance to perform “Sunday Candy,” from their 2015 collaborative album “Surf.”

A studio version of “Somewhere in Paradise” is now available to download for free on iTunes. Watch Chance’s SNL performance above.
