Now this is a spoiler from Star Wars, so proceed at your own risk.

Fans sitting down to watch Star Wars: The Force Awakens at the Arclight theater in Hollywood watched in horror as the projection malfunctioned, skipped ahead, and spoiled bits of the movie.

YouTube user Andy Pacheco uploaded video (via ScreenCrush) from inside the theater and revealed some of the skips. “Arclight’s 3D projectors malfunction[ed] during the opening day showing of Star Wars,” the video description says. “Several green bars begin to appear as the movie progresses; black spots appear as well to block the right eye from seeing the film[.] They choose to stop the film completely and promise to fix it and to rewind it back to the point where the glitch started. However, when the picture returned to the screen, it was jumped ahead!”

The description further revealed the projection skipped ahead “about 20 minutes.” The screening was stopped again, and, sadly, skipped ahead again. Watch the audience’s reaction in the below video, which includes some of the skips.

Pacheco wrote that the audience watched up to the point where Rey (Daisy Ridley), Finn (John Boyega), Han Solo (Harrison Ford), Chewbacca (Peter Mayhew), and BB-8 met up with Maz Kanata (Lupita Nyong’o). Spoiled for the audience was the Starkiller Base firing on the Republic Senate.

Another audience member, Erik Melendez, posted additional video to Facebook capturing the outrage experienced in the audience. He told CNN, “Now that we watched the movie, we know it wasn’t the ending. However, at the time, we thought it was because we saw the movie fast forwarded and believed it to be spoilers.”
