The U.S. Postal Service has announced a set of four new Star Trek stamps, slated for a 2016 release, to commemorate the 50th anniversary of the television show’s premiere.

Featuring designs by Heads of State, under the art direction of Antonio Alcalá, the vintage-looking stamps depict four iconic images: The Starship Enterprise flying through the outline of a Starfleet insignia; a crewman in a transporter; a bird’s-eye view of the Enterprise; and the Enterprise seen through the outline of a Vulcan salute.

“Our stamps articulate the American experience through miniature works of art,” said Acting Stamp Services Director Mary-Anne Penner in a release. Other space-related stamps for 2016 include “Views of Our Planets” — colorful images of Mercury, Venus, Earth, Mars, Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus, and Neptune — and “Pluto—Explored!”, featuring a photo of the far planet taken by the New Horizons spacecraft.
