Rumors have been swirling for weeks about a possible Guns N’ Roses reunion tour, and the legendary group will reportedly appear at Coachella in April for their first performance in more than 20 years. But what does frontman Axl Rose have to say about all this? Not much.
Rose rang in 2016 with a tweet that “confirmed” his “LOVE” of Taco Bell, but nothing more.
Billboard previously reported that Guns N’ Roses will reunite to play Coachella in April and that the band is also in negotiations to play a 25-stadium North American tour this summer. Coachella would mark the first show since 1993 to feature both Rose and founding guitarist Slash. The two almost reunited in 2012 when Guns N’ Roses was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, but Rose, who has continued to tour under the GNR name, declined to attend.
Earlier this year, Slash said that he had reconciled with Rose and that “it might be fun at some point” to reunite.
“It’s really between the guys in the band,” he said at the time. “You know, never say never.”
According to Rolling Stone, Rose will appear on Jimmy Kimmel Live next week to address the reunion rumors in person. In 2012, he appeared on Kimmel for his first live television interview in more than 20 years, surprising audience members with tickets to a GNR show in Las Vegas.
