Hip-hop star Kid Cudi is a well-documented Star Wars fan, and on Saturday, he shared his love for the franchise with his own devotees.

The actor-rapper, who also auditioned for The Force Awakens, tweeted out an invitation to an 11 p.m. screening of the record-breaking blockbuster in Glendale, California. If fans showed up with a piece of Kid Cudi merch, the ticket would be free.

“Do you love Star Wars?” he wrote. “Do you love me? Would you wanna see Star Wars: Force Awakens tonight with me, my treat?” He continued, “Why am I doing this? It’s Star Wars. Why not! And I thought it would be cool to start the year off watching a great film for the 3rd time with some great company.”

He also noted that he’ll hold screenings in a few different cities … just “for fun.”

Fans followed instructions and showed up at the Glendale theater, posting pictures and videos to social media documenting their time with Cudi.
