Netflix has ordered a new drama series: The sexy, psychological thriller Gypsy, about an intriguingly inappropriate therapist.
The company will stream 10 episodes of the project, which tells the story of Jean Holloway, “a therapist who begins to develop dangerous and intimate relationships with the people in her patients’ lives.”
The project is from newcomer Lisa Rubin (the upcoming New Line film I Was Here), with Rubin and Liza Chasin, Tim Bevan and Eric Fellner serving as executive producers.
The series is set to premiere in 2017. Some other big titles in the Netflix pipeline include Marvel’s latest superhero Luke Cage, the reboot Fuller House, Judd Apatow’s comedy Love, historical drama The Crown, and David Fincher’s thriller Mindhunter.
