Rashida Jones wants to go back in time — and that’s exactly what she does in the music video for “Flip and Rewind,” a ’90s-style track she recorded with Boss Selection (producer Sunny Levine’s latest project) that was released this past October.

The video kicks off with a drably dressed Jones lamenting about her nostalgia for the ’90s before her dream suddenly comes true: The rest of the video stars Jones dressed in various outfits that anyone who experienced the decade will recognize. Think oversized blazers, huge hoop earrings, and baggy overalls.

“The inspiration for the video that [writing partner Will McCormack] and I directed was to try to evoke the feeling of the ’90s, but not in a mocking way,” Jones said in an interview with Levine for Rolling Stone. “I think for you and I both, it’s such an important time musically, emotionally, and psychologically. Every part of us formed during the ’90s, and we took all of the quintessential R&B videos from the ’90s and did our best to recreate them.”
