Melissa Benoist raves about Jenna Dewan-Tatum's Lip Sync Battle performance

And why Channing Tatum's daughter will never see him the same way again.

Lip Sync Battle returned with a vengeance this week, with Channing Tatum facing off against his wife, Jenna Dewan-Tatum, and from Tatum channeling Beyoncé to Dewan-Tatum recreating her husband’s role in Magic Mike, the pair’s episode kind of blew up the Internet. Who else was a fan of their epic performances? Dewan-Tatum’s Supergirl costar, Melissa Benoist.

On the red carpet for the 73rd annual Golden Globes, Benoist told EW and PEOPLE that “of course” she watched Tatum and Dewan-Tatum’s battle.

“She told me when they were rehearsing, what she was planning on doing,” Benoist said. “I think her and Channing didn’t tell each other. But she did tell me that now their daughter knows that’s daddy’s dress, the Frozen dress.”

But although Tatum did a phenomenal Elsa impression, if Benoist had to pick a winner, she’d give the crown to her Supergirl costar. “She killed it,” Benoist said. “That Magic Mike dance was incredible.”
