Suicide Squad drops new posters ahead of trailer's debut

(Clay Enos)

The new Suicide Squad trailer is dropping this Tuesday, and director David Ayer and his cast released new posters to get us ready.

“Worst. Heroes. Ever,” Ayer wrote on Twitter. The new cartoony one-sheet features illustrations of the characters, including the Joker, Harley Quinn, Deadshot, and more.

Elsewhere, actors Cara Delevingne (Enchantress), Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje (Killer Croc), Adam Beach (Slipknot), Karen Fukuhara (Katana), and Margot Robbie (Harley Quinn) released separate character posters that take the “death” part of their job to heart.

Update: Warner Bros. released the rest of the character posters featuring Diablo, Captain Boomerang, and more.

Will Smith and Jai Courtney also feature in the film about DC’s Task Force X, a group of supervillains who in the comics executed dangerous suicide missions for the government in exchange for special considerations. The first footage debuted at San Diego Comic-Con and previewed the team, including Joel Kinnaman’s Rick Flag and Viola Davis’ Amanda Waller, in action.

Kevin Smith and DC Entertainment’s CCO Geoff Johns will host the Dawn of the Justice League TV special, which will feature looks at Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice and Wonder Woman, as well as the new Suicide Squad trailer.

The film will hit theaters later this year on Aug. 5.
