Shondaland is going to explore the aftermath of Romeo and Juliet. ABC ordered a pilot of the sequel R&J sequel series Still Star-Crossed that takes place after the young lovers’ fated deaths, the network announced Thursday.

The pilot is based off Melinda Taub’s 2013 novel of the same name that dives into the continued feuding, drama, and other romances between the rival Montague and Capulet families after the events of William Shakespeare’s play.

Rhimes and Shondaland cohort Betsy Beers will executive produce, while Heather Mitchell (Scandal) will handle writing duties and executive produce, too.
