Dave Grohl performs Motörhead's 'Ace of Spades' with members of Metallica, Pantera, and Slayer

(Lucky Strike Live)

On Friday night at Lucky Strike Live in Hollywood, the late great Pantera guitarist Dimebag Darrell was honored as part of the annual Dimebash concert, which raises money for the Ronnie James Dio Stand Up And Shout Cancer Fund. This year’s show also took a few minutes to celebrate another fallen hero, Lemmy Kilmister, who died last month.

According to Blabbermouth.net, which has plenty of fan-shot footage of the gig, Dave Grohl was a last-minute replacement for the ailing Alice in Chains guitarist Jerry Cantrell, and the Foo Fighters frontman hit the stage with Metallica bassist Robert Trujillo, Slayer drummer Dave Lombardo, and Pantera singer Phil Anselmo to perform the Motörhead classic “Ace of Spades.”

Check it out above, and then watch Grohl bust out “Ace of Spades” with Lemmy himself (as well as Slash) back in 2010 at the Revolver Golden Gods Awards
