Fear the Walking Dead: Strand and Liza meet in exclusive deleted scene

(AMC)

Who is this mysterious Victor Strand? We met the enigmatic character (played by Colman Domingo) near the end of season 1 of Fear the Walking Dead as he helped the group flee and chart a course for his boat in the hopes of escaping the zombie apocalypse by heading out to sea. Pretty solid plan … at least on paper.

But what else do we know about this guy? Not a whole heck of a lot. We now get another piece of the puzzle courtesy of this exclusive Fear the Walking Dead deleted scene that will be part of the season 1 special edition Blu-ray + Digital HD and DVD available on March 22 (just in time to watch before season 2 kicks off April 10 on AMC). In this dropped scene from episode 5, a caged Strand meets Liza (Elizabeth Rodriguez), who is searching for Griselda.

It’s vintage Strand all the way, from answering Liza’s query of “What happened?” with “Ah, where to begin? Let’s see, people are now food,” to his response when Liza announces that “I’m looking for an older Latina woman with a hurt foot,” saying “Aren’t we all?”

Oh, Strand … you’re incorrigible! But that’s not to say he can’t also be helpful, as he finally directs Liza on where she might locate Griselda. Watch the scene for yourself above, and then check out the full season 1 special edition on March 22.
