Samantha Bee wasn’t the only late-night host to respond to Mad Max: Fury Road‘s bevy of Oscar wins with a loving parody. But where Bee dressed up as Imperator Furiosa in her office tour, Seth Meyers took on the guise of one of Immortan Joe’s war boys. As “Reasonable Max,” Meyers voiced valid concerns about many of the war boys’ antics.

“It’s just, it feels a little silly, and if I’m being honest very irresponsible, that whenever we go to get gasoline, we drive a fleet of muscle cars that literally shoot out fire,” Meyers said.

The world of Mad Max is one of apocalyptic desolation, though it’s unclear whether the disaster was caused by war, climate change, or some unholy combination. Regardless, Meyers had some helpful suggestions, such as using wind gliders for transport instead of decked-out cars.

“You wanna hear what’s scary? Everyone wanna hear what’s scary? Climate change,” Meyers said. “You can yell all you want, it’s a serious problem. All the birds are extinct.”

Immortan Joe and the war boys pretend to acknowledge Meyers’ climate change memos, and then quickly go back to mocking him before riding out for gasoline.

“I hope every single one of you gets your feelings hurt today,” Meyers tells them.
