Morgan Freeman is the latest star to join the ranks of celebrities who’ve “covered” Justin Bieber. In keeping with Vanity Fair‘s “Sorry” video — a theatrical reading that featured the likes of Jon Hamm, Octavia Spencer, and Nick Jonas — the magazine recruited Freeman for a dramatic rendition of Bieber’s “Love Yourself.”

The London Has Fallen actor’s commanding baritone turns the 2015 hit into a stoic story, emphasized by a series of pensive black-and-white shots. “My mama didn’t like you, and she likes everyone,” Freeman warns, eyebrows raised.
