Suicide Squad stars unveil tattoo-themed posters, tease SXSW tie-in

It looks like Harley’s Tattoo Parlour is headed to Austin.

With just two days to go before the South by Southwest film festival descends on the Texas capital, cast members of the all-star supervillain movie Suicide Squad have taken to social media to hint at a promotional tie-in, while also hyping the movie with ink-themed posters.

Margot Robbie, who plays the colorful femme fatale Harley Quinn in the film, debuted one of the posters on Instagram and wrote, “Hey Puddin’s, leaving our mark on #SXSW come and get it! #SuicideSquad #HarleysTattooParlour.”

Jai Courtney, who plays Captain Boomerang, added, “If you’re rolling thru #SXSW stop by #HarleysTattooParlour and get inked. F‑‑‑in dare ya.”

Those who have been following the Squad saga may recall that Robbie and her costars gave each other matching “skwad” tattoos last year (not that they all came out perfectly).

Other Squad mates getting in on the poster action Wednesday included Cara Delevingne (Enchantress), Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje (Killer Croc), and Karen Fukuhara (Katana). Check them out below.

Suicide Squad opens Aug. 5, and SXSW Film runs March 11-19.
