Willy Wonka's Chocolate Factory-style restaurant opening at Universal Studios | EW.com

Universal Studios is opening a restaurant that looks like Willy Wonka's Chocolate Factory

(Universal Studios)

There’s no need for golden tickets to enter this chocolate factory.

Universal Studios Orlando announced Monday that it would open Toothsome Chocolate Factory & Savory Feast Emporium on its CityWalk, near Universal’s Islands of Adventure theme park.

The full-service, Steampunk-themed restaurant bears a strong resemblance to Willy Wonka’s iconic factory, with tubes and all, but it’s not explicitly derived from Gene Wilder’s workplace.

The Factory/Emporium’s menu will feature entrees like burgers, pastas, and salads, served by a staff dressed fully in theme. But the dessert is what Universal claims will make it stand out. “Artisan” milkshakes and ice cream sundaes were listed as the major items on the menu.

Visitors can also witness the making of candies and chocolates that will be available for purchase in the story. (Be sure to admire the process from a safe distance to avoid an Augustus Gloop situation.)
