This one time, at band camp, Jennifer Garner learned how to march.

Appearing on Thursday’s Late Night with Seth Meyers, Garner discussed her days in the high school marching band, and even shared a throwback photo of her teenage self in full uniform.

Garner played the alto saxophone in the John Adams Junior High Marching Band, and had a nickname for the instrument: “Sally the Sexy Saxophone, but you can call her Sally,” she told Meyers.

In the photo, Garner is shown breaking parade formation to wave, a move that was frowned upon in the group. “You had to stand at attention,” she said, before explaining to Meyers that she learned the keys to marching from band camp.

“You stand in the sun and everyone has to have the same level of gait,” she said.

But despite her past love of marching band, don’t expect Garner to pull out her saxophone for another performance. “I lost her,” she said of Sally.
