Salma Hayek must cut out the heart of a sea monster in fantasy film Tale of Tales — exclusive clip

The fantastical Tale of Tales (out in theaters and on demand April 22) is the latest movie from filmmaker Matteo Garone (Gomorrah) and is based on a trio of stories by 17th-century folklorist Giambattista Basile. In one of the three royalty-featuring tales, John C. Reilly and Salma Hayek play a king and queen who attempt to conceive a child through very unusual means; in another, Toby Jones is a monarch who marries off his daughter to a brutal ogre while developing a strange obsession with breeding a giant flea; and, in the third, Vincent Cassel is a sex-obsessed ruler who discovers that the woman with whom he has fallen in love is not quite what she seems.
