“Mansplaining” is one of the Internet’s most ingenious slang inventions of recent years, referring to situations where men talk to women in a patronizing way, even if they know less about the subject at hand than the women. As a successful woman in the still male-dominated field of politics, Hillary Clinton surely has faced more than her fair share of mansplaining over the years. But to illustrate the ridiculousness of the idea, she and Jimmy Kimmel went through a mock-mansplaining session on Thursday’s episode of Jimmy Kimmel Live!

Kimmel had Clinton go through a typical stump speech and proceeded to interrupt her every few seconds to explain why she was doing something wrong. She barely started before Kimmel told her she was shouting and “it comes off a little shrill, for men.” Counter to Donald Trump’s infamous slogan, Clinton stated, “We don’t need to be made great, we need to be…” only for Kimmel to interrupt. “Oh my god with the sourpuss.” The expressions on Clinton’s face were priceless; even though this bit was a joke, she’s definitely heard the same kind of thing before, unironically.
