It didn’t take long for Nick Jonas’ musical return to make an impact.

In under 24 hours, the 23-year-old pop singer shot to No. 1 on the Billboard + Twitter Trending 140, propelled by his new single, “Close.”

The social media chart’s ranking is determined by how often songs are shared hour by hour, using ‘a formula comparing the number of times they are shared within the last hour to the hourly average of shares over a rolling 24-hour period,” according to Billboard. “Close” was the most-discussed song for nine hours in a row over a stretch that spanned Thursday and Friday, per Billboard.

The collaboration with Swedish singer Tove Lo also resulted in a sexy music video. She said she shook off nerves to film the video with Jonas.

“Watching him really giving it all triggered me to do the same,” she told EW via email. “You feed off each other’s energy. We were both covered in mud, bruised up, and bleeding by the end of the shoot — but still with big smiles on our faces. It was awesome.”
