Lin-Manuel Miranda just got back from a much-deserved vacation, but the Hamilton creator and star didn’t have much time to go around singing “What’d I Miss” before something else came up. As Miranda announced Tuesday on Twitter, he has been temporarily sidelined with a case of acute laryngitis and will miss that night’s performance. He even posted a picture with his doctor to prove it.

On the other hand, as Miranda mentioned, there is indeed some good news. Right before he revealed his laryngitis diagnosis, the official Hamilton Twitter account announced that starting this week, the live #Ham4Ham show will return. The fun pre-show that Miranda and friends would perform for those waiting in line for the ticket lottery temporarily went online for the winter months. Now it’s transforming into a hybrid. The lottery will still take place online for every show but the Wednesday matinee, but digital #Ham4Hams will be rare going forward — “when inspiration hits, or a guest can’t make the live one,” in Miranda’s words.
