Jim Carrey is a major Hollywood star, two-time Golden Globe winner, Wolverine fan, and, as it turns out, a generous tipper.

While out dining at The Chester in New York City’s Meatpacking District, the actor left a $225 tip on a $151 bill, according to reports. This is more than seven times the standard 20 percent tip amount, which in this case would be $30.

“Everybody seemed to be in a good mood,” a source told The New York Post’s Page Six of the group.

Carrey also tweeted from New York on Thursday that he saw Hamilton on Broadway. “An absolute work of genius,” he wrote. “Restores your faith in humanity. The kingdom of heaven is among us.”
