We all know that Adele’s musical ride with James Corden back in January stands as the most-watched Carpool Karaoke segment — not to mention, the most watched late-night clip of all-time, with 96 million views and counting. But it turns out that she did not claim the top spot in terms of tweets, ranking fifth.
Twitter has released the Top 10 most tweeted-about installments of The Late Late Show’s wildly viral Carpool Karaoke, an eight-to-15-minute bit in which famous artists croon their hits with Corden in a moving vehicle. One Direction’s December adventure, which boasts almost 60 million views, scored the No. 1 slot, with 338,000 tweets over the initial 24-hour period. Justin Bieber’s first two Carpool Karaoke drives rank No. 2 and No. 3. And while the three-minute Christmas Carpool Karaoke installment — which featured a montage of One Direction, Stevie Wonder, Iggy Azalea, Rod Stewart, Carrie Underwood, Jason Derulo and Justin Bieber singing “Joy to the World” — had a relatively low 4.3 million views, it ranked No. 4, generating 106,000 tweets.
