After winning an Oscar for his Disney short film FeastPatrick Osborne returns with a new animated, interactive effort. Pearl, part of the Google Spotlight Stories, released a new trailer ahead of its world premiere at the Tribeca Film Festival. 

The short film is a sweet tale of a girl coming of age on the road with her musician dad as he tries balancing his passions with parenting. Osborne, who also worked as an animator on Zootopia, Big Hero 6, and Wreck-It Ralph, wrote Pearl.

The Google series was introduced as a new form of storytelling for mobile devices. Pearl too will be available to Android and iOS, but members of the Google ATAP team are previewing the 360-degree interactive version at the film festival. 2D theatrical versions will be screened beginning Sunday, April 17.
