Kesha is officially back, with her first single since 2013’s “Timber.” “True Colors,” the singer’s collaboration with producer Zedd, will officially debut Friday after it was announced earlier in the week. The song is a remix of Zedd’s original tune by the same name and she joined him onstage during Coachella to perform it last week.
Zedd was one of the music producers who offered to help Kesha record new music in the midst of her legal battle with current producer Dr. Luke. Prior to the song’s release, Zedd clarified that he was given permission by Kemosabe and RCA to put out “True Colors.”
Just to clarify:
We didn’t use any loop holes. Kemosabe / RCA gave us permission to release this song!
