Part of the perks of having a Marvel movie director for a son is getting to see what he’s been working on.

A week before Mother’s Day, James Gunn brought his parents to the set of Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2, the filmmaker’s highly anticipated blockbuster sequel. The visit seems appropriate in more ways than one, since the film will feature the mystery of Star-Lord’s father.

Chris Pratt, Zoe Saldana, Dave Bautista, Bradley Cooper, and Vin Diesel return as the intergalactic band of misfits alongside newcomers Kurt Russell, Pom Klementieff, Elizabeth Debicki, and Chris Sullivan.

Gunn’s parents weren’t the only visitors to the set this week. Jon Watts, who’ll direct Tom Holland in Spider-Man: Homecoming, came out to see the action on set. The perks of being a Marvel director.

So Spider-Man: Homecoming's director John Watts visited our galaxy for a day. #GotGVol2 #spiderman
