David Schwimmer cooks up a scheme in Feed the Beast extended trailer

(AMC)

In Feed the Beast, fine dining is one man’s only chance to stave off the mafia. A new extended trailer for AMC’s new dark drama shows Schwimmer’s Tommy Moran agreeing to open a restaurant in the Bronx with his ex-con best friend Dion Patras, played by Jim Sturgess.

Dion is one of the best chefs around, having cooked meals for the guards while he served in prison for arson, and he intends to use his culinary skills to make enough money to pay back the mob he once worked for. Meanwhile, Tommy hopes it will help him reconnect with his son, who hasn’t spoken since his mother was killed in a hit-and-run accident last year. That’s also something Tommy is dealing with, as he pours enough glasses of wine to rival the leading lady in a Shonda Rhimes show. The trailer also has its fair share of action: Dion is on the verge of having his finger ripped off by a mafia leader, and Tommy winds up with a gun to his head.

Feed the Beast premieres Sunday, June 5 at 10 p.m. ET on AMC. Watch the extended trailer below, and get an even better look at Schwimmer’s new drama by checking out stills of the series.
