Kerry Washington on Tuesday announced that she’s going to unplug for a little bit. The Scandal actress shared her decision in the caption for an Instagram video. “It’s time for me to take a teeny break from social media,” wrote Washington. “Feeling called to be a bit more quiet and still.”

Her words were accompanied by a clip of a heart drawn in the sand fading as the ocean tide rises. The personal video follows Washington’s feet as she walks towards the water, in what the actress has dubbed a “#MermaidGram.”

But fans shouldn’t worry about missing Washington for too long; she made sure to describe the break as “teeny,” adding, “I’ll be back soon enough. This space has become such a community. I’m very grateful. Thank you. I’ll be thinking of youz and I’m sending love to you wherever you are…”

In the past, Washington has credited social media with making Scandal a success. The star will often tweet about the episodes as they air, sharing her reactions to plot developments with her four million Twitter followers.

Later on Tuesday, ABC announced that Scandal has been pushed to midseason. The developments come mere weeks after news of her second pregnancy emerged in early May, sparking speculation about how her pregnancy could affect the show’s schedule. Washington and Shonda Rhimes remained mum about the topic during an appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live! on Thursday.
