Fifth Harmony describes their new album in one word

Just days after the release of their second album, 7/27, Fifth Harmony took the stage on Monday for Today’s summer concert series.  After the performance, EW caught up with the group and asked them to describe the new album in one word.

“I would say ‘control’,” Normani Kordei says, “just because this time around we feel like we gained a little bit more control than the first time around, and we really proved ourselves, so we had a little more to say.”

“Evolved,” “free,” and “turnt up” were other words the ladies used to describe their hit album. “I’m going to say ‘boss’,” Lauren Jauregui tells EW, “just because we’ve all kind of come into our own and we’re reflecting that.”

The group, assembled in 2012 on The X Factor, also shared their favorite fan reactions to the album, from watching fan-made videos capturing their initial reactions to the new music, to Ally Brooke having a dance party outside in London with fans on the night of the album’s release.
