Matt LeBlanc, James Corden spoof Top Gear with children's scooters

(CBS)

This season of Top Gear features a trio of new faces, most notably Matt LeBlanc of Friends fame. LeBlanc is no stranger to car culture, having even built a race track outside his house. But during LeBlanc’s Tuesday night appearance on The Late Late Show, host James Corden was determined to further test the actor’s mettle; he did so by challenging LeBlanc to a scooter race through the office. The name for this race game? Bottom Gear, naturally.

Outfitted with “state-of-the-art children’s scooters,” helmet cameras that kept bumping into each other, and respective British/American flags, Corden and LeBlanc zoomed through The Late Late Show offices. The course was covered in obstacles ranging from co-workers armed with silly putty to a wall of foam bricks, leading to much cackling and censored swearing throughout the race. Corden led for most of the competition, until a bunch of fallen blocks got in his way and LeBlanc zoomed ahead. “No way, LeBlanc!” Corden screamed, throwing in some swears as well. But it was too late. The host of Top Gear was also best at Bottom Gear.
