Warner Bros. has pulled back the Justice League curtain ever so slightly, releasing a new logo for the all-star superhero movie and a synopsis teasing an planetary “assault of catastrophic proportions.”

The logo renders the title in black and white, with a star-shaped cutout:

The synopsis indicates that the story will continue the narrative set in motion by this year’s Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, with Batman (Ben Affleck) assembling a team of heroes to protect the Earth from a major threat. Plot continuity notwithstanding, director Zack Snyder and producer Deborah Snyder recently told reporters that the tone of Justice League will be more fun than the grim Batman v Superman.

Read the synopsis:

Fueled by his restored faith in humanity and inspired by Superman’s selfless act, Bruce Wayne enlists the help of his newfound ally, Diana Prince, to face an even greater enemy. Together, Batman and Wonder Woman work quickly to find and recruit a team of metahumans to stand against this newly awakened threat. But despite the formation of this unprecedented league of heroes — Batman, Wonder Woman, Aquaman, Cyborg, and the Flash — it may already be too late to save the planet from an assault of catastrophic proportions.

Directed by Zack Snyder, this marks the big screen debut of the Justice League, featuring an all-star lineup: Ben Affleck, Henry Cavill, Gal Gadot, Jason Momoa, Ezra Miller and Ray Fisher.

Justice League is slated to open Nov. 17, 2017.
