The first trailer for Sarah Jessica Parker‘s new series Divorce is finally here, courtesy of Parker herself. On Wednesday, the Sex and the City alumna debuted a short teaser for the HBO comedy on her Instagram account. “A long time coming. And a great thrill that my friends @hbo allowed me to share with you the official FIRST look and just a wee appetizer of #DivorceHBO,” Parker wrote in the caption.
In Divorce, Parker plays Frances, a woman who surprises her husband Robert (Thomas Haden Church) by asking for a divorce. As shown in the trailer, which features the not-so-happily-married couple exchanging middle fingers, Frances and Robert have been troubled for quite some time, and Frances hopes a divorce could help them fix things.
“This could be the greatest thing that has happened to us,” says Frances. “Now, we can go back to just liking each other again.”
Created by Sharon Hogan (Castastrophe), Divorce also stars Molly Shannon and Talia Balsam. The 10-episode, 30-minute comedy premieres on HBO this fall.
