The live-action Transformers film series might be known for its rough-and-tumble approach to the classic franchise, but after casting an unwanted shelter dog in The Last Knight earlier this month, Michael Bay upped the cute factor once again as he teased a new character, Squeeks, set to appear in the upcoming sequel.

“My talented young co-star of Transformers, @isabelamoner and introducing a new character, Squeeks!” the director tweeted Wednesday night, sharing a photo of the pair from the set.

Judging by the photo, Squeeks looks to be a small, non-CG autobot made from parts of an old, rusty Vespa, appearing as an original creation in The Last Knight. The picture shows off a first look at Moner’s Izabella, a character also making her debut appearance in the sequel.

While plot details for The Last Knight are currently under wraps, the film’s confirmed cast includes Moner, Mark Wahlberg, Josh Duhamel, and Anthony Hopkins. Bay has thus far shared several cryptic teasers for the film on social media, including an Instagram post in May hinting at the return of Megatron.

Transformers: The Last Knight is currently in production with a targeted theatrical release date of June 23, 2017.
