The Kills promised 15 fans willing to get tattoos representing the band’s new album Ash & Ice that the band would pay for and film the stunt. The Kills kept their word, and now fans can see the deal play out in a new short film.

Titled “Under the Gun,” the music video is set to the song “Hard Habit to Break” and introduces the 15 devoted fans who gathered at L.A.’s Shamrock Social Club Inc. in early June; each person was inked with one of 15 symbols featured on Ash & Ice — one symbol from each of the album’s 13 tracks, plus a volcano and martini glass from the LP’s cover.

Band members Jamie Hince and Alison Mosshart came along to pay for the tattoos and provide moral support. See the video above.

Ash & Fire is available now.
